Sunday 30th April saw the Lochgelly Band staging the fourth Bill Shaw Memorial Contest.
The Lochgelly band made their return to the 1st section of Scottish Brass Banding at the Scottish Championships in Motherwell on Sunday 12th March.
The Lochgelly Band have been strengthening their ranks for life in the 1st section. The band are pleased to release details of a clutch of new signings.

Another weekend and another contest for Lochgelly. Hard on the heels of the Land O’ Burns contest the band travelled to Newtongrange for the Brass in the Park contest on 3rd September.
The band went to the seaside at the weekend (27th August) for the Land O’Burns contest. It wasn't all sun, sea and sand. We also came back with some silverware.
A busy summer programme of marching came to an end for the band with the Cowdenbeath gala on 2nd July.
The Lochgelly band gained a creditable 3rd place at the Northern Counties Open contest held in the Reid Hall in Forfar.
Another successful contest for the band sees them gain second place at the Fife Brass Band Festival.
A large turnout for the 3rd Bill Shaw slow Melody contest saw Graham Fraser of Whitburn Band retain the Open title whilst Murray McFarlane of Dunfermline Town won the junior title.
Lochgelly Band finished second in the 2nd Section at the Scottish Championships in Dundee yesterday (12th March).

A busy festive season got underway for the Lochgelly Band with caroling jobs in Kelty and Kirkcaldy over the weekend.
The Lochgelly band took part in the Rememberance service at St. Andrews parish church in Lochgelly on 14th November.
